San Diego's OnlineBootyCall.com reaches one million members with only a single marriage

San Diego--OnlineBootyCall.com, a San Diego-based online dating site, announced that it has reached the one-million member mark while receiving only one confirmed report of marriage since the web site’s launch three years ago.

“Reaching the one-million member mark with only a single reported marriage is a tremendous accomplishment,” Moses Brown, Founder and CEO said.

The wedding was confirmed when a female member e-mailed the site with her wedding photos. Said site co-founder Michael Ramsbacker, “It was bound to happen. We don’t really like to advertise the fact that somebody got married, but we weren’t surprised.”

OnlineBootyCall.com makes over 30,000 connections each day; that equals less than one marriage per 30 million booty-call connections.

While most dating sites focus on lengthy profiles and complex matching systems, OnlineBootyCall.com prefers a simpler approach that centers on base physical attraction.

"Call it superficial if you want, but that's our approach and it's working for our members," Brown said. "If we were less superficial, we would probably have more marriages and we certainly don't want to go there!"

"We don't ask for your life story because we don't care," Brown added. "We think online dating should be easy and fun and not a lot of work. We want members to party and have fun. Our motto is: 'Finding the pieces without the puzzle.'"

To ensure that members don’t take finding a mate too seriously, the site has issued the “Booty Call Ten Commandments,” with several of the commandments discouraging patently monogomous behavior. Commandment number three, for example, is “Thou shalt refrain from referring to our activities as “love making.’”

Commandment number eight is “Thou shalt not ask me to walk thee to thy car. Don't thou knoweth what it looketh like?”

While the rules appear primarily aimed at monogamous-minded females, Ramsbacker has received complaints from women frustrated by the pace at which men wanted to push the relationship along. “The women met guys, and everything was fun and easy at first. Then the guys wanted to move the relationship to another level.”

Due in part to the Commandments, OnlineBootyCall.com, with over 1,000,000 members throughout the US and Canada, doesn’t have to worry about losing membership to marriage. “Our members don’t get married. Typically, they don’t get into committed relationships, so they stay on our site for a long, long time.”
